Together with some of the most thoughtful contemporary photojournalists, we explore visual storytelling and journalism in all their dimensions and responsibilities. Our educational programs are designed to support photographers at every stage of their journey — from those taking their first steps to experienced professionals — helping them refine their authorial vision and navigate today’s rapidly evolving editorial landscape.
Participants are guided through the entire cycle of a photographic project: starting from research and the development of an idea, moving through conceptualisation and planning, and into the production phase in the field. Particular attention is given to editing and sequencing, where the narrative takes shape, as well as to the strategies for publishing and disseminating the work.
The programs also addresses the broader professional and human ecosystem surrounding contemporary photojournalism. Alongside experts in visual storytelling and journalism, participants will also engage with professionals specialised in trauma-informed approaches and conflict psychology, including psychotherapists with experience in working with journalists and photographers operating in complex and high-risk environments. This integrated perspective aims to support not only the development of stronger narrative skills but also a deeper awareness of the emotional and ethical dimensions of the practice.
The masterclasses will be conducted in English, Spanish, and Italian, depending on the needs and composition of the group, ensuring accessibility and meaningful exchange among all participants.
